More than 130 students graced the stage at Theodore Roosevelt High School's auditorium in Kent for "Shake Your Groove Thing!," the 81st annual recital of Franklin School of Dance.
All styles and ages were represented at the performance, which featured choreography by owner/lead instructor Courtney Watt and instructors Koral Jamieson, Jackie Searfoss and Jensen Croop.
Located at 152 N. Water St. in Downtown Kent, Franklin School of Dance offers recreational classes in a range of styles, including ballet, pointe, tap, hip-hop, jazz, tumbling, lyrical and cheer dance for students from age 3 to adult.
Enrollment is now under way for the studio's "Summer Sampler" dance program, which includes half-hour sessions of dance instruction in a different style each week through July and August.
